Here is a quick and easy way to make an amplified D-104 have great low end.
Change the .01uF on the left and the .1uF in the middle to .22uF, 16 volt or higher ceramic disc or mylar.
Here is the physical locations. Where the 2 red caps are is where the .22uF caps go:
